ROLLING MEADOWS, IL, November 10, 2021 – Epiq Solutions, a company trusted by the federal government to provide software-defined radio (SDR) tools for mission-critical security and situational awareness, today announced it won a contract to supply Flying Fox® Enterprise to the Air Education and Training Center (AETC) at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB). The training center needed a solution that detects wireless devices in secure areas and conducted an open solicitation to select the right vendor. Keesler AFB chose Flying Fox Enterprise, Epiq Solutions’ DoDIN APL listed, rogue wireless device detection solution. Flying Fox Enterprise detects, identifies, and locates cellular, Bluetooth®, Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi® transmissions with zero false positives and is widely deployed at secure facilities within the DoD.
The cyber and OPSEC risks posed by unauthorized wireless devices are well known and are the reason behind DoD portable electronic devices (PED) policies such as DODI 8100.02. The AETC at Keesler AFB will be deploying Flying Fox Enterprise to mitigate these risks as it executes its mission.
Epiq Solutions is proud to be selected for this award and have Flying Fox Enterprise be part of the U. S. Air Force’s wireless security capabilities.
